For sure, so far *knock on wood* we've been able to swing it.

We are a non-profit hospital so we get funded if needed. There's only one other hospital in our area and it's profit. If we weren't here the people that don't have insurance wouldn't have any where to go - we're okay too. The wife works for a ob-gyn office, nobodys stopping having babies so she's alright too.

Shit it's hailing outside and windy as hell. We're under a tornado watch. One hit on the ground about 30 miles from here and is heading this way. Most of the time they go around here - hope this one does too.

Las Vegas' publicly funded hospital, University medical Center, has been seeing lots of cuts as of late, though they never seem to be administrative. Just unnecessary stuff like childrens oncology and the like.

Very nice. I really like her with dark hair, she looks like a different, sexier woman.

We've been making a lot cuts here too but they are administrative. We've went from 5 VP's down to 2. They're also offering an early out package for Supervisors and up with over 20 years of service. There's seveal directors thats taking it - mine included.

 

Yikes. There hasn't been a tornado touch down here since I've lived here. Hope it stays that way.

Can probably live without the 3 extra VP's I imagine. Early outs are always a better choice than cutting services imo.

 

It's getting that time of year. We have shit loads of them in spring. It's been in the mid 60's today - a cold front is moving in bringing the temps down to the upper 20's tonight - thus sparking up the thunderstorms and tornados.

Things have actually been running smoother around here since then. Of course the threat of being canned had something to do with it i'm sure.
