    Howdy.
    :D
If it hadn't actually happened, no one would believe that story. It's unfathomable that they made it back alive.

So many people bag on the Da Vinci Code. I read the book first, but I was still entertained by it. The book itself was overhyped. It was a good read but I didn't think it was sensational. Robert Ludlum is the king of the man on the run genre.

    The book was fine.

The film was full of little things that annoyed me.

Did the same with the "Code" here as well, and you're right about Ludlum. Haven't read his other stuff, but the Bourne series is classic. Damon didn't do a bad job of bringing Jason to the screen either imho. ;)

Most books that end up on the big screen are pretty good. For example, harry Potter.

Bourne films were good; first two were excellent, the third was cute, slotting it into the `end` of the second.

But the third leant a little too far to the left. As evidenced by the journo killed in London; worked for The Guardian. That generated a few grins over here, the Guardian being left of Karl Marx. ;)

My nephew didn't like the fifth.

I haven't read the books, but i watch the films with him, and even i could tell they hacked way too much out of the fifth.

Welcome back BR. I've never read, or seen any of the Harry Potter stuff. Are they actually a worthy read/view for an adult? Obviously, they're popular as hell with the kids, but I didn't know if they'd hold my interest.

The films are worth a watch.

The books are for kids. Seriously for kids, no matter what people say.

Hey Salty. Well, if you started reading them as a kid, you might be interested an an adult. But not if start as an adult. I started reading them when I was high school, couple years ago, and that is why I still have interest in them.

I kind of figured as much. I recently re-read all of the Chronicles of Narnia books, and was surprised how well they held up. :D
