    The thing that got me to tell you about The Pretty Things is that they were on Harvest records -- an offshoot of Motown. Got me thinking of "blue-eyed soul" music and Parachute popped into my mind.

    I grew up right here when all that music as being made. I even played with a few guys (trumpet and sax players) who played on a few Motown records. I was like, 20 and they were a lot older.
