How old were you when you saw Empire in the theater?

 

I can't remember my exact age when I saw it first. Never saw it at the cinema; we didn't do that when I was a wee one.

 

I'm glad I got to see the originals in some form in theater back in the 90's

 

I remember seeing one of them at a summer cinema...cant remember when...

 

I really like the things he came up with for the original movies. He helped with Surround Sound.

 

I saw the Remastered one on cinema...

 

I watched the remastered, recut Episode IV at the cinema. Never bothered with the other two. At the cinema. Got them on DVD now.

It's hard for me. I want to watch all the new goodies in Episode IV, but I squeeze my eyes tightly shut and curse George Lucas' name whenever the Han-Greedo scene comes on.

I've got the DVD's which have the new versions and the original version, y'see.

The funny thing is the dvd's are the third versions of the movies lol they altered/enhanced changes they made in the SE's as well as new changes. And overall I don't really mind the changes. Some of them are cool like the expansion of Mos Eisly and Ian McDiarmid as the Emperor in 'Empire'

The only two changes I don't like is Greedo shooting first and having Temura Morrison redoing all the Boba Fett lines in 'Empire'. I mean, I know he's a clone, which is very cool and all, but his original voice was just so much better

 

The McDiarmid stuff was cool.

But he tinkered for tinkering's sake.

Having Hayden as the force-ghost at the end, whilst making sense, just seemed way to forced. And I hated the new music at the end of Jedi.

And, being a reader of many of the authorised books, watching scenes of celebration across the galaxy was fine, but the Coruscant celebrations, toppling the statue, pissed me off, because in the books, they did it logically. Took them years to pry the Empire out of Coruscant.

 

I have the original trilogy on DVD...i want to get the new one also...but should i get them on BR?

there haven't been any reports if any of the SW movies are coming on bluray anytime soon

but to be honest I could care less seeing how I don't have a HD tv or a bluray player
