    Hey PM - I am a bit tired this evening - spent about 8 hours trying to figure out how to remove and install saddlebags on my bike. I ended up having to remove the entire rear wheel assembly, chain guards, disc breaks, etc. etc. - I got it done, but tomorrow I have to re-assemble everything. Should keep me out of bars for a while. LOL

    Yep. They are "permanently mounted" and the bracket system bolts through the fender supports to the under side of the fender, and you cannot get sufficient access to that area without the major removal. I know as I tried for two hours before I finally gave up trying and removed the wheel. That is why you want to everything you can in one work session as usually 80% of the work is getting to it and putting the stuff back on. But, I do enjoy it, though it was easier when I was lighter and more spry. :p

    2001 Harley Davidson Dyna Low Rider with the usual modifications :p
    Has almost 100,000 miles on it. Rode it from Florida to Maine and back last summer (13 days).

    Still all bike are good, I ride a TL1000S Suzuki, just love that Vee Twin sound!
