    Well, for one thing, his stupid fucking name. ;)

    He can do the crash, the bang and the wallop. He can do the `ooh` and the `aah` effects. But he can't seem to string them together into anything but a modern blink-and-you'll-miss-it flash-bang movie. Which is the curse of modern cinema. Which is why people keep giving him money to make such movies.

    They said the same thing about Die Hard 4 and Babylon A.D..

    It's a bullshit thing from the studios. A PG-13 movie will make more money, in their belief, because it will open up screens to younger viewers. Fuck anybody else who wants to see a good, hardcore, action flick.

    Hence the sudden profusion of `Unrated` and `Directors Cut` DVD's.

    I thought everyone knew about it. Not knowing about Marcus Wright from the trailers would have made the film infinitely better.

    But I say that about Darth Maul's lightsaber. If we hadn't known it was a double blade till the scene at the end of the movie where he rocks it out, that would have been an awesome moment and elevated the aftertaste of that movie. But, for trailers and the fucking merchandise, it was pimped out front.
