    My final thoughts on this: Hockey has been an important part of my life since I saw Gordie Howe, Alex Delvecchio, Roger Crozier et al play for the Wings -- and Jacques Plante and Frank Mahavoloch and Gump Worsley and on and on... in person. I saw a great sport with great tradition. I saw goalies play without masks. Hockey is steeped in tradition. That is what keeps it going. When the first brick crumbles the building will soon decay and get worse. The handshake tradition is one of the most important in all of sport. We can't just let the bricks crumble. Then hockey becomes meaningless.
