Lot of hate over at the Transformers 2 IMDB board.

Most of whom haven't even seen the fucking thing. :wink:

They're either bitching about it not being true to the originals (which means they hate the whole franchise from the beginning anyway) or complaining that it's all flash and bang, no plot.

It's big honking robots knocking seven bells out of each other; what sort of plot were you looking for?

I point out to people that I took my nephew to watch this at the cinema, and he ooh'ed and aah'ed with the best of them as the Transformers did their thing. He was 11.

But when we watched it on DVD a few months ago on a whim, he, now nearly 13, had a TOTALLY different reaction to the `Megan Fox under the hood` scene.

 

frank herberts dune and children of dune were great. saw that on last link.

 

It's great watching movies like that through his eyes.

We had a Terminator marathon a ways back because he'd never seen them. T2 looks totally different, in the beginning.

See, when we watched T2 at the cinema, we all knew that Arnie was the good guy and Robert Patrick was the bad guy. But my nephew had no clue. And, through his eyes, the film doesn't make it clear. Right up until the dude with the can gets shot in the hallway, you don't know who's the killer and who's the protector.

Amazing stuff, really.

 

Yeah, I enjoyed those. Lot of British talent.

Way better than the film. :wink:

Much more observant of the book.

never read the book. i loved the first film. i watch it whenever its on. that was an all time classic as a kid.

but i think the sand worms in the first were way better. they were too digital in the series.
