Yes, as a matter of fact, I do. A friend of mine has a big RV and we are going to trailer our bikes to Bristol for the august races and get several days of riding in. I normally ride to where ever I am going, but ther are no affordable places to stay in and around Bristol, especially dure a race week, so we have RV reservations 0.6 miles from the track. I am very much looking forward to it!

It seems they recruit year around here! There is always talk about that. I don't pay much attention.....

Sounds like fun - I see a lot of that here when they run in Talladega. Been years since i've been to the track, kinda lost interest in it but the parties haven't slowed none so I hear.

Yep, coaches recruit year 'round but there's only a certain amount of contact they can legally make and it all is in certain weeks of the year. Florida always has strong recruits, they restock their team not rebuild like we've had to do. Another year or 2 of recruits like the last 2 years for us and we'll be in the restock mode too.

 

Supposedly they do market surveys every 2 years - this year is supposed to be the year they do mine. I don't get a raise but I do get a % of my annual salary - the amount depends on my review. They give it to you in 1 check. It's nice for me because I get it in late November so I use it for Christmas cash.

Bristol is the only race I have wanted to attend. Was at the '81 Daytona 500 and that hooked me, lost most of my interest when Dale Sr. died, now just am a casual observer - but I do root for that punk bush shit to either blow up or crash. Last Saturday's race was typical as Bush thinks he was punted and it is clear on file that he clipped Stewart.....

All programs go through different phases over the years; Bama and Gators are no different....

LOL - I don't hate the gators, only Auburn then closely followed by Tennessee. All other SEC teams I have no problems with.

And I don't follow racing at all anymore - to much BS in it now for me. Buddy Baker used to be my fav.- that tells you how long i've been out of it.
