    But instead of connecting - disconnect the profile that's in there now and then re-do the process and recreate a new connection with the password he gave you.

    Mine was doing the exact same thing Cy when I had to get another external wireless nic for my laptop - once I reset the password then reset the connections everything was fine. Surely the guy didn't mess with those things, just set a password on them. Never know though.

    yes, and no.

    i can search and browse the net. but it all depends on if the connection stay on.

    its weird though. if im dl'ing a RS or a megaupload link, its stays connected the whole time, but as soon as its done it starts the disc./recon. cycle again.

    I know, I was just saying. I was a manager at one time and had to pull my weight with overhead by the service I was providing. Was hard to keep good numbers around here.

    That's entirely different then. Did you get a cd with the router to step you through the setup? I personally would reset everything back to defaults on it and start from scratch - this time with a password.
