Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

72 dpi is standard ntsc resolution but if you have a good crt or average and above lcd it's 96 dpi. Of course, these days HD is much higher but 96dpi is still native for most good cg artwork.

Oh, yeah. I use 72 as a default 'cause all my work (and my ex's work) used to be for output in inches. 72 dpi=One inch.

My ex was a graphic designer. She used mostly Freehand, Illustrator, PS and (what was then called) PageMaker.

I used Quark in a couple of past jobs.

I don't have cable but love a good cooking show. Although, I don't think I will ever understand how when they taste it at the end I enjoy their reaction...

So I was a copywriter doing graphic work for print -- that's why I always went with 72 dpi. I didn't have to think about it -- I could concentrate on writing better.

Also, a cool thing happened on the golf course today. On the 12th hole, my uncle and I hit our tee shots to the left of the green, and a fox was there watching us play. Never been that close to a fox in the wild. In florida now I have seen boar, foxes, and alligators just by golfing. Not to mention the birds. Not that that has to do with anything...

See, I learn something everyday. I used 72dpi same as you on the old crts which had 72 hardware pixels per inch then moved to 96 when I got nokia 445XI really high end "21 crts and lcds are also 96 standard but apparently theres no reason.

LMAO! I had to do so much writing and graphics and Mac maintenance that my head was spinning many days. In my mine, I put some things on "default." DPI is one of my "brain defaults." It freed me up to think creatively, which was my primary job.
