Holy shit, this is an outstanding post. Carli and ITC go hand-in-hand.

 

The above series (#247) is entirely Carli being Carli. No 'hardcore' elements at all. What it has is a personality and locale that are truly unique. I have had considerable difficulty in choosing screencaps as my usual method is to automatically grab about twice what I need and then ween them down to 10 or so. With all of Carli's scenes so far this has been difficult as she is damn photogenic.

I do not quite understand what you are asking here. Are you saying it's not too much trouble to upload a specific set in 1080p or are you saying it's not too much trouble to upload all the sets in 1080p? The answer to both is yes it is, one to a greater degree than the other.

I am limited on a number of things of which the two most specific is upload bandwidth and server size. Every ISP in the world gives you two numbers of which you are probably more familiar with one, specifically your download limit. ISP's also limit your upload bandwidth (and the vast majority will never realize this limit unless they share. It's why it is courteous to thank an uploader, especially one who uploads lots). I am blessed with a tolerant ISP as well as having their best package so my upload limit is very high, but is not infinite! This will not stop my ISP from slapping my wrists (or worse) if I start consistently exceeding that limit to the detriment of their network and other customers.

The second concern is that HQ/HD videos in 1080p resolutions are usually 2 to 2.3 times the size of the next available resolution (ie. that same 1080p video you pointed out at 1.64 Gb or 1640 Mb would be half size at the most or 820 Mb at 720p resolution) for only a gain of a little more than 33% on average of the bitrate (ie 8000 KBps to 4900 KBps). So, using 720p resolution means I can fit in two videos to 1080p's one. Why is that significant? Because a premium account on Rapidshare has a fixed 500Gb limit on storage is why. A premium account means that the links will never disappear. The drop in bitrate is of even less significance as the vast majority of users who would download would not notice the difference or need the higher end bitrate.

To answer the last bit of you comments, yes, I did originally upload in 1080p because that is the resolution I had. After I had uploaded two complete sets, I came to the conclusion that it would be better to do so in 720p and allow more users to download (they too have download limits some very draconian) as well as take in to consideration the above limits I imposed on myself and offer to upload 1080p under limited and specific guidelines (imposed by me yes, but it's my time, effort and cost that is allowing you to view it for relatively nothing).

If that does not meet with your approval, I am sorry I cannot help you.

WMV-HD @8000 kbps 1920x1080p is exaclty what inthecrack.com offers.
and we all know the reason why they choose 1080p ,this is what makes inthecrack special.

honestly, I do respect and appreciate your effort on this,even though you choose to rip the video to 720P,it's your choice to do that,no one can stop you.

I just think it may take you more time to encode the video to 720P
and rapidshare collectors account can keep the files for at least 90 days

and somebody wanna download your HD stuffs,a rapidshare premium account is a must to save time and effort. and if his download speed is not fast enough,then sorry,he is not qualified for HD stuffs.


a little suggestion to you :

you wanna cut down the size of the video but still wants the quality to be excellent, using the following settings:

1280x720p,Video codec: H.264, Audio codec: AAC ,bitrate:5500~6000 KBPS
framerate: 29.970 fps,whatever container you like.

don't use 4000 KBPS bitrate, from 8000 KBPS to 4000 KBPS,that's a big difference in quality.

stuffs from inthecrack.com are for HD fans,not for people having a damn slow internet connection.
and I do believe you should be a HD fan,1080p or 720p,which one would you download, it should be the former one.
