I have digital TV cable. For internet, I have the fastest connection offered by AT&T DSL (6Mb/s); AT&T land line phone, cell phone, and nationwide G3 for my laptop when I travel and a wifi is not available. I am satisfied. My wife will not let me drop the land line, plus I need that for the DSL. I switched everything I could to AT&T as they gave me about $450 to do it and the monthly cost is comparable.

LOL - i'm sure! I've said many times how amayzed I am at how well you all do at speaking Engish when it's not your native tounge. It's very impressive! Magge, I have a network router strictly for my internet connections. I saw no reduction in speed and I have the network secured as well as all of the security on every PC. (used to have 5 PCs in the house, but down to 3 now as my son just moved out). It is certainly much nicer to not have any wiring running all over the place! Plus, I can (and my son when he was here, actually, he can still do it when he visits) move anywhere in the house with my laptop and still function exceptionally well.

 

typing english and speaking english are totally different.
i took 2 years of spanish in highschool, and was very good, but i cant understand shit when i here it spoken.

Wireless is only as fast as your NIC. The speeds depend on the signal coming in. If that makes sense?

Did exactly the same but went the opposite route - my combined bill with all 3 services on cable was cheaper than split with at&t and cable though.
