    It is my understanding that wireless internet services is indeed slower than a direct connect to either cable or DSL; however, a wireless router is not necessarily slower, especially if you get a high-speed wireless router connected either to high-speed cable or DSL. Is that not your experience also?

    LOL - there's many words our English friends say that I don't have a clue on either. :lol:

    Didn't want to get to technical - yes in general cable is faster. What i'm referring to is the type of router & nic you have. There's several different protocols that offer different speeds. If you get an upscale router and nic (the n protocol) there's very little if any difference you see in Internet traffic. If you get a b protocol you'll see a big difference. The price in the equipment reflects the speed. Now networked for actual data transfer, not web traffic is whole different animal.
