it's Fall time up here now. the canada geese are starting to eat so they can fatten up to fly back south for the winter. they taste so good right now.

yes Magge my Bud smokes some great char. has a very nice smoker.

 

to pikes. rarely to other fish

 

You smoke pikes ? We never do that here, just boil them and serve with potatoes and horseradish

 

I don't usually use mine unless the kids are in the truck with me and it's very hot out. Since I did without it so many years I got used to it.

Never had geese either, would like to try some.

Smoked grayling is awesome !

 

I don't care for any smoked fish to much - either grilled or fried is best to me. Depends on what kind of fish it is whether we grill it or fry it.

The pike we catch go back in the water.

I can almost watch the gas dial drop when it's on. It's a good strain on the motor so it takes a good bit more gas in my truck.

 

haven't tried that Jay, sounds cool in the smoker though.

lol mine is a gas guzzler too bama. big 5 litre v8 engine!

 

I've never ate it either. Guess the water gets to hot for them here, I don't think there's any in this state - not sure though.
