Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads.     I havent decided about text size on scaled down version. In order to keep it readable at 10-12% of current size how big should I make the text in ratio to the spider?

    I'd suggest reducing it down to 10% size and adjusting from there. It's all trial & error to get the right sizing.
