Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads.     you might want to reduce the size of the text and put it the dark section in the lower left. then the bricks would stand out more and so would the text on a dark background.

    Gimp brush. You can get the same effect from almost any water brush by layer mode grain extract. That's how I got this one. Then you just use perspective to lean the top back towards you.

    yep, I dumped photoshop when I went exclusively linux about 6 months ago. I'll never go back. It's like the diff between IE and firefox. Once you get over the learning curve gimp allows a lot of customizations and stuff that PS doesnt. Of course, there are a goodly number of things where gimp is behind, especially in text, that I miss, but there are work arounds, and I'm learning them pretty quickly.

    Best part of gimp is that if I want something specific, I can always email the developers themselves and ask questions or make suggestions instead of being ignored by adobe.
