the issue here isn't Serena's race - it's her rude, selfish, self-centered and downright mean behavior.

check past posts. many people have said negative stuff about the "Williams sisters". You'll note that I always respond that Venus is OK, but Serena is a jerk.

Fact is, Clijsters beat Serena's ass and was about to take the match. Bully Serena took it out on the lineswoman. She should have been focused on what she needed to do to save the set/match.

Those are the type of questions I always ask myself, to make sure my behavior is not biased.

I still think Serena's been doing steroids for a long time -- that can bring out tantrums. Just my opinion. No proof.

 

Fair and consistent should be the rule - that Washington football player was suspended for the remainder of this (his senior) year for his offense - there was no race or gender issues raised. I know where you are coming from and it can be expected that some in our society will cry foul, but the board of directors of the organization just need to be consistent, firm, and fair. I thought McEnroe (many years ago) should have been suspended for his outbursts, but he wasn't, just fined, reprimanded, and placed on probation.

I would think at the very least Williams would be barred from next year's US Open, but we shall see if the BOD has any balls (or ovaries).
