    She finally did the right thing, but why did it take her a day to apologize to anyone?

    Last night she spoke at length and basically said all her idols were emotional, that she is still young, etc., etc.

    She NEVER said she was sorry. She pretty much inferred that it was the lines-womans fault for making a shitty call.

    I can't read her mind, but I'd say she apologized out of self interest ... I think that's her only consideration. She knows that the USTA isn't gonna let her slide this time.

    oh and I'm tired of hearing her say "we all know who the real #1 player in the world is". She knew what she needed to do to retain her #1 ranking - get her fat ass out on the court and play more than a few tournaments. The rules are the same for everyone - why did Sarafina for earning #1 fair and square.

    Oh and if Serena is so unbeatable, how did Kim Clijsters kick her ass after only playing a few tournaments since returning to tennis after being out two years and popping out a kid?
