    I'm sorry my friend but I think I'm not going to re-upload deleted files anymore... since it takes quite a lot of my time... I prefer updating the thread instead... I'm really really sorry... since RS kept deleting my files one by one... and at this rate, I'll only spend my time re-uploading removed files :(...

    Guys, any tips to avoid your files being deleted by RS? or it is a common thing? thank you...

    certainly seems these files should be "valid" content (non-child, beast or other prohibited). So my guess would be they have been blocked as copyright violations.

    It may not have been your file reported. Could have been a post elsewhere by somebody who copied yours and reposted. Or even somebody who re-upped your file in their account and that got reported, causing Rapidshare to search for same name or byte size files.

    Frustrating as it is, we need to remember that RS and the other hosts have legal compliance issues they must deal with or risk being sued and shut down. If you cannot prove you own the copyright, they must presume that your file is an illegal copy being shared (and it is, of course!).

    One way to slow them down would be to change the rar size by adding a pic file or the like to change the total. Seems to work for some posters. And, of course make sure the file name is nothing like the original name (either fomr the owner or from somebody else's copy). Could also try to re-rar it in different size pieces so it does not look exactly like the ones the host is searching for.

    If you ever figure out how to "beat" this, please let the rest of us know!

    Thanks for taking your time to write... I really appreciate your views and inputs :)... but the thing is, all the files I posted were originally rar-ed by me... so it must be someone else who reported my files or... someone who re-posted my files got reported... either way, I think we should all still be grateful... I just sometimes feel tired when I need to re-upload the files again and again :(...

    I'm just worried that they would delete all my files and my account when they found that all my files are "illegal" according to their TOS... I would feel so wasted... Make me wonder had anyone got their account deleted due to this?...

    Logically, they've gotten most of their money from people who stored "illegal" files... and I'm sure that they know... who else would have bought premium membership other that those who need it for downloading those files... common people won't bother buying premium membership just to download one or two small files... So I think what you've said... because they, on the other hand, has to comply with legal issue as well... so they sometimes act like it...

    Truthfully, I can't think of any better ways to avoid this problem... but who knows there will be... I'll let you guys know when there are :)

    first of all, thanks for the work in this thread. I know the pain of being deleted (I had a whole thematic thread being deleted because of complaints of a content provider).

    In order of sophistication, you can do the following:

    1. make sure that the file names you upload are not intelligible (ie, not ArusaHayakawa but something like ArHyk). This applied to the screens, too.

    2. include a small text file in the .rar to change the file signature

    3. in the thread itself, make use of symbols or spaces to change the name of the performer and the title, fe Arusa Hayakawa = Arus@ Haya.kawa or something

    4. ideally you would use a link protector (such as Rapidsafe) to make it harder to report the links but on this board it's against the rules

    Wow... that must be more painful to get the whole thread deleted... anyway thank you for your appreciation and for giving me some inputs... they are certainly helpful... I'll use them to "fix" my future posts :)... once again, thanks a lot mate...
