As for age of consent being an arbitrary number beyond puberty. That is weak too. You do realize that not everybody goes through puberty at the same time or in the same way. Puberty can 'bless' a 14 year old girl with an adult body. Does that mean that since puberty has already taken effect, this girl is ready to consent to a sexual relationship? No.

Personally I could give a flying fig what your opinion of my post is, as for puberty and it's different ages, yes, you are correct there but, in case you aren't aware, along with the physical changes come mental changes, it's called 'growing up', neural pathways become more set and less flexible after puberty and our 'world view' tends to focus and become more or less that which we will carry throughout our adult lives unless we conciously make decisions to change some part of it so NO your FAIL is utter crap IMHO of course. And as far as it NOT being 100 years ago, once again you ARE correct BUT women have been marrying and carrying children from just past puberty FAR longer than it has been 'fashionable' (not the perfect choice of words I admit but close) for women wait until they reach their 20s or even 30s. See the edits and take a neurophysiology/psychology course or two and you will find that this post of yours is crap, mental changes (excepting persons with organic or psychological damage) take place at the same times and rates relative to physical changes, that's not to say that additional changes don't occur later with experience but the basic structural changes which define the adult brain from the pre-pubescent brain ARE in place. This fact is one of the basis our court system uses to try people younger than the AOC in 'adult' court for crimes. :loser:
