    The problem here is that if it goes below 30 F (about -1C) for a long period of time, we suffer major agricultural loss. If the orange trees themselves freeze, that farmer is out of business for about 15 years while new tree grow to the point of production. If just the oranges freeze they can be harvested and used for juice concentrate, though that is at a lower profit margin than whole fruit.

    We also grow veggies that are lost when it freezes....

    When I was a kid, I was fucking deadly with a homemade slingshot! You can "launch" either a single, large projectile or a wad of BB's. :wink: I think my slingshot days is why I was so good with a shot gun on fast moving targets.
