    I keep the TV on for background all night. I actually watch about 2-3 hours of programming on a night off, and 1-2 hours on a worknight. I keep a radio on the rest of the time I'm awake, and I leave the radio on for the dogs when I leave for work.

    I have a phone/broadband package. It's reasonably good value and I get free local calls on weekdays after 6pm, and on weekends. My maximum possible speed for my area is just 5.5mbps though. It's all about the distance you are from the nearest telephone exchange.

    You don't have cable internet over there AFX or fiber ? Doesn't matter with that how far your away from the exchange, that's only with ADSL. Our cable speed over here is up to 120Mbit and fiber even has 100Mbit upload and download...

    I barely watch any actual TV. Just football and the odd film or comedy show. Most stuff I watch is online, which is probably why my ISP is capping my speed. I wish us Brits could make drama on a par with American stuff. Our stuff is mostly awful. It seems to be either crappy period dramas or rubbish detective shows.

    That's true. The majority of people who have broadband don't really know enough about it to realise they're getting ripped off. It'll take years for everyone here to get the high speeds currently available in other countries.
