    We had a $500 fine if you got caught watering it period or washing your car. They let the car wash businesses keep working but individuals couldn't do it. Problem was not only the drought but with Georgia power where the river starts that we get our water from was limiting the amount of water they allowed to flow downstream. Ended up in court before they finally started releasing more.

    Bama, our regular annual rain is about 50 inches plus or minus about 5 inches.......The trouble is that we are going long dry spells followed by near flooding spells.......that is hard on the native plants and trees.

    My bitch is that they are trying to divert our water to places like Jacksonville - this threatens our natural river systems, etc. Why don't the coastal cities just use the ocean water, they will eventually anyway as the fresh surface and ground water is rapidly being depleted. As an inlander, I am getting tired of subsidizing the coastal residents. Thanks to our socialistic State government, we already subsidize coastal insurance rates.....
