this happened locally (actually VERY locally)

The driver whose car crashed through the glass storefront of a Bridgeport Avenue nail salon Thursday, injuring seven people, will face no criminal or motor vehicle charges, police said Friday.

Gail Savo, 52, of Bridgeport, was headed to an appointment at Sun Nails, 487 Bridgeport Ave., and as she pulled into a parking space in front of the salon at 3:15 p.m., her foot accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brake, police said.

Her car surged over the curb and into the salon, striking two people inside and injuring five others with flying debris, police said.

Despite the chaotic scene, no one suffered what police believe are life-threatening injuries

 

I have always like BMW bikes, especially in the late 60's and 70's. Fine machines! Now, the trouble is that they do not make a true cruiser style bike, only a sports cruiser.....so, I will stick with the Harleys for as long as I can. Rumor has it that EPA is forcing Harley to go to a liquid cooled engine. I am hoping that they used the current engine and convert to liquid cooled, but I am hearing that they are going to cease production of the old stand by and adopt the engine currently on the V-Rod. That ain't a Harley!

 

Is that on US TV? Sounds interesting.

at 4pm my Cousin and I went to bring a bunch of envelopes to the airport.

on the way back we were coming up to the 4 way stop sign. some snow fell off the power lines then struck another line below it. huge amount of sparks flew down and there was a power outage in town for about 20 minutes.

For people like myself who've lived in Vegas for awhile, and have seen him on local TV or read about him in the local paper, we tend to think of him in terms of his charitable work with kids or his Agassi Prep Acadamy. Both very noble causes. His tennis carrer is mostly secondary. This hooplah about his admitted drug use is barely on the radar here. It's mostly only of interest to the talking heads.

I'm well. My hangover is past, so I think it's safe to go out and tie one on tonight just for good measure! :beer:
