    Not quite sure. I've always wanted to work with computers, ie an engineer of sorts, but lately I've been more into philosophy and politics. I'd like an education that provides the ability to choose a somewhat freelance career.

    Sounds like you want a "classical" education. So start with that, and narrow it down from there.
