Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads.     I was shocked that I was able to get round trip airfare from Jacksonville, FL to NY City for only $220 - Did it last night and my son leaves Wednesday at about 6 AM. Most pleasant surprise as I thought it would cost much more.....:lol:

    Yeah, it is for my son.....a 17" laptop with 3.something duel core processor and 8 gigs of ram, and yes there was about $800 in software....the total was between 42 and 43 hundred. The software was mostly for music and video editing, etc. LOL my laptop is a $600 Dell! :lol:

    I just found the papers on it....it is a MacBook Pro, 17-inch, Aluminum. The base or standard machine was $2,500, the upgrade for the processor and the additional 4 gigs of ram was about $1,000. I did some research on his intended use and what would be right for him.....then called some friends of mine that work with digital video editing to confirm the need for such a machine. So, we shall see! :)

    He is flying up to NYC early tomorrow as he needs to take care of some business at the school and look for a place to stay. I don't think his loans are going to be sufficient and I will have to dig deeper to help him out for two more years. Oh well, it is only money. I just want him to be able to make a living doing something he enjoys.........:)
