Cool! Only draw back to that is having to get your own insurance. I would like to possibly get in to some consulting after few more years. It would have to be in healthcare IT specifically since we stay behind in PC technology though.

After I Left The Marines. I Worked For MACK Then Mack-Cali For Many years.
NYSE ( c l i ) I Became Frustrated. Took My Contacts And Went Private.
I Could Do It Faster For Less Money. Why Not.

I'm surprised they didn't have you sign contracts preventing you from doing that. I used to work for a retail vendor before I came here. It was in my contract that I had to wait atleast 6 months if I decided to start my own business. Oddly enough there was no clause about going to another vendor and taking customers with me.

All Good Things Must Come To An End. Half Of My Clients And Work Load Are Dismantling And De Constructing What I Built In The First Place. I Sold Off My Stocks And A Shit Load Of Real Estate In The New York And New Jersey region. I Could Have Waited An Extra Year And A Half Maybe, But Its Like This.
Better To Leave The Track A Winner Then Shoot For The Stars And Go Home A Loser.

 

As much traveling and what not that you do it sounds like you may have waited a bit longer but you ain't hurtin none now. At any rate, it's damn good that you can make a nice living for youself by working for yourself at the age that you are.
