One suggestion if that is ok - re the starting of issues threads, could the mods consider a member posting a suggestion, opinion in here without member debate and from there a mod can decide if it deserves a thread or not? I have started a couple and they really only cause problems as today's did.

The idea I suggest would almost create a 'reward' for raising a positive issue in having a mod start a thread re your concern. At the end of the day it is the mods decide what changes and I am sure discuss the issues amongst themselves, with that in mind only certain things will ever change and 'pre modding' some subjects will save time and bans.

I'm thinking the best way to achieve that goal would be to PM one of us if you think the thread may cause problems gap.

I don't have an issue with discussion threads, as long as someone doesn't resort to abusive language or flaming. Telling someone to "Shut The Fuck Up!" in any language is unacceptable, no matter what the circumstances are, and don't blame the OP for what others do in the thread. A point was raise, a discussion ensued, some felt threatened by it, and let it get to them. Remain civil and respectful, and anything can be discussed.

 

I have a suggestion, when someone gets banned it says so under the username, I heard from linusc, if I got it right, that once it also said there for how long, like "Banned, 4 years". That would help the rest of us to know for how long someone is gonna be quiet!

 

It's none of yours or anyone else's business how long someone is banned for, that is between the Mods and the user.

 

Ok, it was just a suggestion, don't bite my head off. The reason was that this is first and foremost a community so if someone that we talk to everyday ain't gonna be there to answer a question or whatever for a certain amount of time, it would be of interest to know for how long that would be. I really don't give a shit about the reason or who actually did the banning cause it seems like everytime it happens it is for a good reason.
The reason, and the who, I could understand being between the user and the mod, but time?? Anyway if it can't be done or if no one wants to do the change or the rules say that no one else should know then... whatever! as I said it was just a suggestion.

 

I wasn't "red" when it was removed so I have no knowledge to share with you One. The fact that it was removed in the first place leads me to believe that it isn't coming back ol' boy.
