    Start now with IRA'a, 401K's, or just plain savings is my advice. Almost everyone my age regrets not having done so when they were younger....:wink:

    About the worst thing I do is flush my used oil down the toilet....:lol:.....but at least that is going to the treatment plant and not direction into the ground water of surface waters. :wink:

    I had a 401K...I was putting a lot of money into it when I was younger and when the stock market boom of the 90's was going, it just kept going up and up. Had nearly $100K in it 15 years ago...then the tech market bubble burst and I never paid attention to my 401K. By the time I finally checked it, that 100K had turned into 10K. :? And then the company I worked for went belly up and I used what was left to live on until I found another job.

    I have an IRA now, but I don't have much in it...I never gamble right on what to invest in :?

    That will never happen! :lol:

    The stock market decline of 2000 hurt me.....If I had to do it all over again, I would seek investment advise to that I could have a balanced portfolio, leaning to the more secure investments. Stocks are only good for the really long haul, but nothing beats stocks for that; then, about 5 years before retirement if the stocks are good, roll them into the equivalent of CD's. That will avoid a severe stock market decline when you need to cash out.
