    I have three hard-drives on my PC with D and E strickly for data backup, and, in addition, I have an external USB backup drive. I have been burned toooooo many times not to be a bit extreme with my backups. Especially considering my financial data! :shock: :wink: :tup:

    Start, right-click on Computer, Properties.

    Select System Protection. Now for each of your partitions, simply disable System Restore.

    That's on 7, but should be the same for Vista...

    Since i had the exact same shit, im sure the only way to go is http://www.hijackthis.de/en

    Search for a virus board, where you can get help and post the logfile of hijackthis in there. They'll tell you what files are the one's causing it. Delete the files and you should be safe.
