Yeah, I should be watching the game, but I couldn't chose between the hockey and the basketball.

So I (somehow) decided on listening to music instead! (?)

 

No plans for the first few months....need to see how the money situation is. I am retiring because my employer of the last 40 plus years is laying me off at the end of this fiscal year (Sept 30th). With an incentive they have offered, I must retire by September 1. So, I think it will work, but just want to "chill" for a few months to see how it is. I have been working since I was 8 YO....not working is going to be a major change for me to adjust to, but I think I am up to the challenge!

So it's kinda a "forced retirement", a guy that I knew at the college here had the same thing happen to him, and now he's working at a grocery store! It's a real fucking shame when it doesn't work out and then you're stuck w/o work, but here's hoping everything will go smoothly for you bro! It all depends on the lifestyle you lead I guess, I myself need probably $500 a month just to fund my record buying, so I won't be retiring for a LONG while!

I've learned that you can't WANT to meet someone, it's weird, just stop thinking about it and it seems more likely to happen that way. At least that's how it's happened with me, I've met all of my girlfriends during a time where I wasn't actively pursuing "dating" at all!

 

Thanks for the well wishes.......I think it will work, but will need to make some changes and get out from under some real estate investments that I can no longer afford to carry.

Should be at least breaking even, but it will provide a large cash surge which I need now to continue to send $3,000 a month to one son going to NYU.

Should start getting my retirement checks 30 days after I retire, which is the end of August. Between now and then I will save enough to cover that Month. It is still a reduction of $60,000 in annual income...:sad:

He is in their graduate program locally called the "New York Film Academy." The cost is that he must make films for class assignments and he has to pay the actors, feed the actors, provide for the props, pay all licenses and fees for permits, film, film processing, etc. Plus, it is damn expensive to live in Manhattan....about 3.5 time more expensive than here in North Central Florida.
