Here's a really good explanation of ICC profiles, just ignore the gimp stuff. Those top couple paragraphs explain something that every user should understand about the monitors/tvs/movies they look at all day.

Ok, I have set my gimp to use Adobe1998 profile all the way thru. Now I'll set the system itself to do the same.

Cool, Well, I can fix that, np. good grief, I wonder what all the different regular phunners are using? How can you vote or create stuff if you arent seeing it right? If everybody is as spread out on this as I'm suspecting, it could change and improve a lot of peoples work!
