We'll have to agree to disagree on that one. I think it divided a lot of fans of the first. It just felt to me like they tried too much to recreate the original, as opposed to injecting new ideas into it.

I agree with you! When I was first sitting here watching it, I was very up in the air about how I felt. But by the time I got to the second half into the end I loved it!

As I mention in my previous post, I think it really divided the fans of the original. I really liked the first but not enough to be desperate for a sequel. Also, I'm not a huge fan of Julie Benz as an actress, and for me she's way over the top in it as the new detective on the Saints trail.

Perhaps I'll watch it again some time and my opinion will differ. Truth be told, I really can't remember much of it off the top of my head, which is usually a good gauge for whether I like a film or not. After seeing the first Saints film I thought about it for quite a while, and still remember it clearly. The second one I've practically erased from memory.

Does Bill Connoly feature more prominently in the 2nd one? I like him as an actor - he always shows up in random films.

I have to watch it again myself! I started the movie very late at night and due to it having some slow parts, I was getting tired and doing other things! LOL So I know I definitely missed some parts. But towards the end it got my attention. The only thing I hated throughout the movie was the Mexican character. I thought he was stupid. lol

AH righto... guess I'll skip it for now and go with some old HK thrillers I've been trying to catch up on.
