The only art I've bought in my life are Salvador Dali and Renoir prints -- my two painting heroes. Any other art I've either painted or sketched myself. It's been a million years though.

 

Why? What's inaccurate about it? (I've never seen it.)

I have an interesting idea.

 

When I was 17 a friend and I had our paintings accepted at a local art gallery. (They were acrylics, for FF.) I never showed them -- I realized I couldn't bear to sell them. The content was too close to my emotions. Too much for a teenager to handle. They're hanging on walls of various relatives. My dad's 2nd wife probably trashed the ones my dad had. I only kept two to myself. They were 2 of the things I rescued when they foreclosed on my house.

 

Friend of mine reburied her Sister today. her Funeral was last October.

Her coffin was found dug up about 20 miles out of town. they reburied Her today.

I helped cater her after burial today. just waiting to see how she is.

I sent one of my American Friends in Vermont some sealskin kamiks. along with other things.

he's an artist and a knife maker. he sent me a knife he made with an Inukshuk emblem on the handle.

he sent me this drawing he made.

 

When I was a teen I tested out at a really high IQ. The arts side of my brain as sell as the "nerd" side were both good. The last half-year of high school they put me in an experimental class. I ultimately chose music over art. But the nerdness came in handy when I became a copywriter.

I basically stopped when I was 20 or so. I couldn't do music and art and sports and everything else at the same time. It was a frustrating time for me, because I loved them all. Still do.
