    I'll let gHe speak for himself but I think RS is dying because they keep jacking with the rules for their account holders. I paid for an account for like a month or two. Your downloads earn you points. When you earn enough points, you can exchange them in to extend your account. I've had my account for years now and only had to pay for the first month or two. I'm not even that active of a poster so I figure they kinda screwed themselves with their setup for rewards. Now they are changing it so people's accounts won't last forever and people are getting pissed and switching to other file hosting sites that have better deals like hotfile, megaupload, filefactory, depostfiles, etc...

    better is debatable - the main reason is because it won't be free to reliably host files on Rapidshare anymore.

    Anyways, you can read more about the new Rapidshare policy in this thread.
