    this may be completely off topic... well I'm sure it is, but I have a cool avi in 640x480 res and 26 seconds long but when I try to render it with Microsoft gif animator it's like 86 mbs what am I doing wrong?

    Don't use every frame, every 3rd frame of a 30fps video plays close to real time in .gif

    also shrink the image dimensions to 320x240 or smaller
