    i wouldnt say I was a fan, it was just a couple songs that everybody knew and played. It's like the breeze, or copperhead road. They just were. like freebird.

    mambo #5 isnt a bad song, but it cant be claimed as a defining moment. In highschool for me the current singers were vanhalen, def lepard, motley crue, pat benatar, prince, and sad as i am to say it, paedo jackson. there were a whole bunch of bands, but these were really big. Except for Lepard and Benatar, I pretty much stuck with the 70's. I never was in touch with my age group, lol
