Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads.     yup, but it writes some sort of weird format that only dvd recorders and computers can read... dvd players can't find the disc!

    Odd....but i think there's an option usually that says...DVD Writer or Player format...

    It would be the easiest way to convert them....hook up the VCR to the DVD Recorder....select line in hit play on the VCR and rec on the DVD...and you're done!

    I already have it hooked to the dvd since I bought the damn thing.

    yup... tried that a million times before today.. the best result I could get was a poor image when hooked to the dvd, then something in the program rebooted the computer.

    What brand is it?
    Do you record the tapes as MPEG-1?Cause VHS is not HQ!
    Maybe the codec the tv-card uses is corrupted!
