What's Up With Rapidshare? + New File Hosts

Is anyone else having a problem downloading from Filesonic altogether? For a while, it was fine, nice and quick, but now every time I go to DL, I get an error page, 704 or some shit.

 

you really should use a dl manager for any host you are not premium, despite the fact FS is a mess right now ironically i am getting fast speeds as a free user.

edit - if you are in the UK FS does not work without a proxy I think

 

I wonder why isn't admin allowing " uploaded . to " hosting
it's been great for me, no captcha, 10 sec wait time
and can remote UL from RS too ( if you know the trick)

I have been using p1mp@ndhost on other boards for a long time and it is a reliable host I think.

 

I was in UK and FS works fine through JDownloader

 

Is there a work-around for FS like the ssi trick with SharingMatrix?

If not, anyone recommend a proxy that works?

FS has SERIOUS problems right now dude

I am not there so cannot verify, but if you check this thread and countless others there are 100's of Paypal disputes with FS from people in the UK, they buy an account and get nothing, then eventally they get their money back.

I would encourage anyone considering buying an account to just buy for 1 day in case it does not work.

I dunno dude, I have stopped using them for now, its too messy uploads fail all the time, but they pay the highest so I suspect people will continue to post them exclusively.

How do you remote upload from RS to MU ?

I used to do that with success by putting rapidshare's cookie
in MU's settings, but It doesn't seem to work anymore.

It's likely that rapidshare is blocking megaupload's IP..

I believe RS is blocking all remote uploads at this time. If someone has success bypassing this, maybe they can offer some input.

 

I think that's still the case... I usually don't remote upload anything from RS, but I tried to last week and kept getting "content-length" errors when I tried to remote from RS > HF.

On another note, I can't remote upload ANYTHING to Filesonic - whether it's RS or MU > Filesonic. Anyone know anything about remote uploading to Filesonic as a free user?

 

RS premium -> Filesonic is working as of today
RS premium -> Fileserve is working as of today
RS premium -> Hotfile is NOT working since a few weeks

 

HF -> Filesonic doesn't work here... as least it didn't the last time I've tried.

I would always get a file doesn't exist type of error.

 

different hosts are better in different regions, I hear HF is great in US but FS is better in Europe, I get 300kbs on FS, dunno about HF, I have an account so it maxes out my connection. FS has had majot problems but it seems to be resolving them, hopefully the UK thing will sort itself out as thats crappy for the Brits.
I just throw up mirrors so hopefully as many can grab as possible, I don't use MU as sub 100MB rars is a drag and I hear they close accounts with pron on them. I know you can up larger files but I at least want a free account, might as well use RS from that point of view.

 

My experience with FS has been mostly unsatisfactory. Many times the best speed I can get is less than 100kbs and that's if I don't get the dreaded message that the file "cannot be found and to try later" I've gotten to the point that I skip over clips that I'd like to download when I see the (FS) in the header. My luck with HF, however, has been terrific. Most of the time the download speed is around 900kbs (and as high as 1.6mbs). I'm very thankful to those uploaders who provide the HF option. I'll continue to request FS user's mirror their clips on HF.

 

I'd be happy just to get into Filesonic. :sad:

 

Filesonic is far better than hotfile to me.(living in Asia).Glad to have a fs account.
