What's Up With Rapidshare? + New File Hosts

I get errors here to in 0z it's annoying

 

In my opinion filefactory and fileserve is better alternative against filesonic

 

On some occasions I come across a scene that I would love to download, only to find its been hosted on filesonic. I have read all the solutions that people offer to make FS work. I even downloaded and installed Jdownloader plus updates for it. I got 1 file to download then Jdownloader wouldnt work anymore for it either. I updated it again, searched all kinds of post for answers, and nothing works. All I ever get is the error message that says the plug-in has expired. Finally, I just gave up on trying to download from that host. Its like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. My solution, whenever I find something hosted on filesonic that I want to download. I go to google, and search for the video title + hotfile +deposit + rapidshare + thread. This always returns lots of links to the video I am looking for on a host that actually works. Lesson I have learned in all this, if the host doesnt work for you, no need to sweat it, just search for it on a host that works for you! Hope this helps anyone having the same problem I was having!

 

thats true, so many posts on here are remoted from other filehosts. It is a sad reflection of the times but if you search for rar name you can get lucky.

FYI filesonic is great where I am, but in Uk it is on a watchlist site which British ISP(or most of them) have to block it, it is not actually the hosts fault

Well, let's be fair - nearly all legitimate filesharing services all offer cash incentive programs. The only one I know of that doesn't is Toucansharing and not many people use it cuz it's relatively new (and it's not allowed here anyways).

Oh, and get ready for another wave of Filesonic spamming madness end of next week - their doing another "double your dollars" promotion, with Nov 14th as the main promo day. :|

 

Just finished attempting to download 18 different files from MU in the movie forum with only one being available. On others that I have come back to over the last week, the situation is the same. What gives with MU lately? From one of the better sources they have become the worst and the uploaders that use MU are not flexible in when asked, they they refuse to mirror their clips. It's frustrating not being able to download some of the great stuff out there.

 

I can't speak for others using MU, but from the past two weeks either Megaupload has been stepping up their efforts to stamp out adult material or someone has been reporting Megaupload links. For me personally, someone has been (and probably might be still) reporting my links as I've had to re-up my some of my more recent MU links 4 or 5 times in one week!

As for mirrors to clips, if you post a reply request in the thread, someone (the original poster or someone else) will usually post a mirror.

 

It may have already been posted here but I can't find any reference to it.

Anyway many many people in the UK can't download from filesonic.com, something to do with ips or so they say. The timer runs down and when you press the download link an error page comes up saying the only way around it is to buy a premium account.

The other way I saw, posted elsewhere, is to replace www.filesonic.com in the address bar with 78.140.176.186 then it works fine.

I read somewhere else that filesonic seems to be added to the iwf list (which isn't of course not more than a rumour since it looks like that this list is secret).

If your ISP is on that list this might be the reason ...

Not sure about the situation in the UK, but i would change to another ISP only because of that list. This kind of censorship isn't acceptable and this secretiveness about the names on the list is more than ridiculous ...

btw, i hope the term "Limey" doesn't sound too disparaging, i can't appraise that from my place. I read it somewhere and i liked it cause i once saw a film with Terrence Stamp called "The Limey" which was a good one ...

well, maybe more can be enticed toward HF. My "luck" with filesonic premium this past week has been all bad. Most of what I have trying to get is coming up an hour plus, with whopping rates of 25v 0 55 Kb/sec. I went ahead and wasted my time sending them an e-mail, just to feel better about not renewing next month.
