you could try updating your codecs (and maybe I should as well), but despite the high resolution of the vid, the original video source was compressed with a pretty low bit rate, which as I understand it, is the reason for some grainy effects in parts of the video. I've tried re-encoding it to try to rid some of the graininess, but it wasn't a dramatic improvement.
