    I (plus most people) consider bangs, the short hair in the front of the head. (Dictionary - A fringe of hair cut short and straight across the forehead.)

    Like in these pictures...she has her bangs cut short and go straight across her forehead, right above her eyebrows. I cant stand this look on women, it covers too much of their face and can make a hot girl, a lot less hot in my book.
