Good to hear. Pretty good thanks , had a nice Thanksgiving day here too. Ate like a horse and had a few Crown on the rocks after. Bad results but at least there was plenty of good games to watch this weekend too.

 

The dogs are sitting here all perky and staring at me.....yep, getting close to feeding time!

Well, that was a let-down. I'm not even going to bother watching the last 15 minutes. Did nobody tell Real they had a game today?

 

I was out till this past weekend, just got finished cutting and splitting some. It won't get me through the year but at least I've got some. My dad took down a couple pretty good sized hickory trees this weekend at his house so once I get those cut and split I should be good to go

 

Yep, I am still a college football fan, but the starch is a bit out of the sails this season...........have to go back a few decades to remember a seasons with such high expectations with so much disappointment......guess I will have to re-invoke the phrase "wait until next year."

 

I hear ya, that's why the 3 losses bama had this year was so dissapointing. We're just now getting the old "one of the top teams" reputatioin back. It'll all come out in the wash though.

Hickory is great wood! I have not burned that in years. I took down a small oak two months ago and it will not even come close to getting me thru the winter.

We have several hickory trees in our neighborhood......hate the nuts though.....constantly stepping on them in the street while taking the dogs for night time walks.....damn near break my angles!

 

I think there will be a very thorough washing, bleaching, and wringing out done at Florida in the next 9 months!

It's VERY hard to find hickory trees that folks will let you take down. And yep, it's supposed to be the best there is for burning..most heat, less smoke, and less ashes. I was happy when he called and told me to come get it. Red Oak and Water Oak are more popular around here to be able to get, which is pretty good wood too.

American football has its qualities, but I'm still 100% soccer fan...

It is amazing to me how many teams jumped out to big leads (college football this past weekend) only to either lose or barely squeak out a victory! Boise State was a shocker!
