What's Up With Rapidshare? + New File Hosts

J downloader avoids that for me, only have HF account now and they seem to be going tits up.

Its just pron, I can wait for a file. I do hate it when people split a 400MB file into 4 tho, just look elsewhere as do not want to reward anyone doing that

 

I haven't read the whole thread, but I must say that filesonic is suckin' it up. I've had 3 months so far of premium and the download speeds are absolutely horrible. Not to mention their downloads timing out as well. Never have I seen a file host worse than them. I do like fileserve and hotfile (even though people have been complaining about them lately). I don't see how peeps can use filesonic the way it is, which is, a waste of money.

 

I got fireserve a few days back other then some early troubles with my login all is good speeds etc.

Hm, strange how some minor changes and law suites can affect our little posting world

HF is pretty fast at the moment, good upload speed for those who "dare" to upload there and also good dl speed.
FS is pretty f*cked up for now, horrible dl speed and i hardly can upload (i only remote there) since everybody seems to move from HF to there.
FSv is getting slower (even if i hardly use it) and their remote upload system seems to be pretty stressed.

Maybe this HF cleanup was necessary to get their servers free of thousands of copies of the same files. I noticed i lost some files (without getting the usual email), but these files were the few that i remote-uploaded directly from sites without packing them, so i guess it has something to do with HF's blacklist (and hash values).
I really don't think HF is dead: it was never that good for uploaders with their misterious rank-system and the lousy filemanagement, but still good for downloads. But HF cannot compare with the simple pay-for-download system of FS which is much smarter for guys who just pick a link and post it from time to time. If you don't post megathreads you will lose your HF rank pretty quick and then the payouts are rather small. So it's understandable that most of the single posts here are offered on FS.

In some weak times i think: it's useless to resist, everything would be much easier if we all would use oron only

Filesonic started working again for me over the weekend. Then stopped again.

Oron is still blocked in the UK.

Just asking, is it just me, or is anyone else having trouble today? I continue to to get a message that I can "only download one file at a time," when I'm not downloading ANY files. When I finally did get one file to start, it stopped when it was about 93% done. WTF??!!

 

They have problems - ended space on servers

 

FS sucks, and unfortunately it is the majority of threads here now

 

Yeah shame tho nothing can be done now.
I hope Phun will allow Fileserve here soon so we might see threads other then FSonic.

Just curious as to what downloader you use?

Also, has anyone had an issues Uploading to Filesonic??
Lately it's been locking up half way through the upload!
And when it is at 100% complete it never fully uploaded!!!

Is there a seperate uploader for filesonic??

I Never have a problem Downloading, just Uploading!!

 

that?s IDM, Internet Download Manager, i used for about six or seven years and it still the best one i tried

 

yup i am using IDM .... and i too have problems uploading via FTP.
think FS is having problems coping with the hotfile exodus

 

No such issue here with uploading via FTP. Coincidentally, I did have that same problem with hotfile though.

Although I do have an issue where once a file is finished uploading, it restarts and uploads the same files over again.

As for downloading, it works great using jDownloader.
