    Only about 35K gallons....my problem is that with two large dogs, I can't let the grass in the back yard get drought stressed or I will have a huge sand pit and dust bowl....

    1/2 acre (about 22,000 square feet)....that is about 1.5 gallons per square foot over a month with the weather in the 90's and humidity around 35% with full sun.... and sandy soils...

    Eventually, but we have had an outdoor burn ban for the past several months here......this has happened before, but it is expensive watering waiting for the rains to eventually start....historically, the rain season starts in in a few weeks....

    Yeah, I know.....they raised the prices here a little over a year ago, on an escalating scale, in an effort to get folks to use less. I just do what I have to in order to maintain my lawn and landscaping investment of over $20K.....:shock:
