First of all, I was drawing comparisons to their images, not to their music. Taylor, in my opinion, captures that punk/hellcat look that Avril strove for early in her career, while also having that smoking, drinking, drugging, flashing persona Courtney Love had in her early Hole days.

But as long as we're talking about their music, Avril Lavigne does not hold a candle to Courtney Love. Pretty On The Inside was better than anything Avril has ever done, and Live Through This is one of the greatest rock albums of all-time, so don't even go there. The people who claim Kurt wrote the Live Through This are the same assclowns who say Courtney had Kurt killed. It's just not true. I'm sure Courtney was influenced by husband's work, but to say he wrote them is retarded.

Actually, there's more evidence that Avril's the one who didn't write her own tunes. Go read up on her first album. There are quotes from her producers who say that they wrote all of her music and lyrics, and she really didn't change much. Maybe that's changed since, but who cares? She is nowhere near the musician or writer that Love is. Or, was. Courtney of course derailed her career with heroine and cocaine and alcohol. Fake? Are you kidding me? Courtney stripped to support her band, and lived the drug-addled rock and roll life that left her looking like a walking corpse. Avril and Taylor wear punk t-shirts, Courtney injected heroin. So who's fake?
