Why not just make it against the rules to make sexual comments about someone under 16, since that's why the initial post got deleted according to the mod.

And what good would would changing the age to 18 do? Would the rules still stand as they do now, except 18 instead of 16? So someone under 18 could still be posted as long as they're with someone over the age of 18 and not the subject of the post.

Some have mentioned being bothered about posts including Elle Fanning and Stella Hudgens (who only recently became [as-of-now]Phun-legal, but last I checked, their older, more famous siblings are over the age of 18. So if the age were increased to 18, would they still be allowed to be included in a photo of their older sisters? What about Kendall when she turns 18, and Kylie will be 16?

I think you're right Scribs... My vote would be to Keep It Simple Stupid.... leave the Phun-legal age where it is and if a sub-16 year old is in the shot fine, as long as no inappropriate skin is showing and it's not 'suggestive' NO individual pics of sub-16s. And have some class and not be completely creepy with comments about younger celebs, I mean I would think something like she's a very cute girl would be OK whereas 'I wanna get her alone and sodomize her' or comments about body parts should draw a warning and if repeated a ban.

It's not that complicated and anyone who complains about getting a pic or entire post dumped for breaking the rule can...

Rules and all that aside - and I'm speaking strictly as myself - these girls are on TV. If you got E! you can watch 'em when the show is on. The show is probably streamed somewhere on the net. No doubt you can d/l the episodes somewhere. In a case like this under those conditions the debate about whether or not to post the pics is rather moot. In the summertime I see girls under 18 walking around in public in bikini tops all the time. It's the desert, it's hot, that's the way it is. It's actually quite possible that one or two of them somehow inadvertently found their way into one of my Uncle Scribbles threads.

As far as the comments go however. Yeah, creepy comments, we got no use for them.

 

Personally, I say post any picture, bikini or not, of anyone 16+, and if they happen to be with someone younger than that, post it, too. It's not like Kylie doesn't know what she's doing.

But either way, keep it the way it is, I guess. If they're together clothed, post the pictures. If they're in bikinis, only post Kendall and/or crop out Kylie if you must. (But please, put a mention in the thread that Kylie was cropped out, so we know to look for her.)

Personally I think it's an overreaction to one case (albeit with several instances, but it still is really only being brought up because of one person). Frankly it becomes a major slippery slope if you start down it. If you rule out Kylie because she's under 16 (don't even get me started on the horrifying possibility of bumping the limit up to 18, I needs me at least a little jailbait to perv over) then you have to rule out everyone under 16. You can't make rules and then decide who to apply them to and who to make exceptions for, it needs to be applied to everyone. Not to mention the idea of "anyone under this age is fine but anyone over that age but still under the regular limit isn't" is just overly complicated. As a lazy person, anything that adds steps to something automatically lessens the odds that I'll actually do it.

My opinion would be to keep things largely the same, but maybe with a stiffer warning about keeping comments about underage girls to a minimum, or at least to keep them from being quite so crass. Partly it's my bias towards not wanting to lose access to pictures of 16-17 year-olds, though it's not as dire as it would've been 3 years ago when Selena was 16 and I'd gotten hooked on being able to find pictures of her on forums like this, but it's also partly wanting to keep things halfway simple. I don't post a whole lot of pictures, and the few I do post would probably just get posted by others, but I don't want to have to be checking ages on everyone in a picture and then having to either edit or withhold certain ones simply because someone else is in the picture. Plus, I don't want to lose access to pictures of Kate Beckinsale simply because Little Beckinsale tagged along (or any number of celebs with daughters/sisters/whatever). There's also the Jennifer Lawrence pictures that would be sure to be lost in the near future when she poses with underage Hunger Games co-stars at various premieres and events to name an example off the top of my head.

Seriously man, use your head. If images of an underage female have a sexual undertone to them (or, as is common in this day and age, overtness), don't post them. If you have any doubts, don't post them. Simple as that.

 

I'm all for raising the age limit to 18. Might as well match legal age in many of the forum members' countries.

 

And just as many members live in countries/states where the legal age is 15-17. Might as well match them instead.
