Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    I have determined what is needed to fix the latest two lamps that don't work that my wife brought to me from her parents.......now a trip to a hardware store is next. Will do that in a bit. :D

    Yep....repaired the shutter my dog broke.....boy it was a challenge to get the 20 louvers in place, but I did. The drilled, glued, and screwed the frame back together......glue drying down. Next is to attache the louver open/shut control rod to the louvers, then mount it back in the window....I would say 85% of the work is done.

    Then started working on two lamps that don't work...see previous post. :p

    In many ways we here are fortunate with labour, skilled and unskilled, being so cheap that no one will be doing any kind of home repairs themselves. It applies to any kind of repairs actually, be it cars, electronics, networking etc.
    I feel very in adequate knowing how little i know of practical things.
