Yeah, you guys have a lot of things to work out before you can truly move on from this. I'm glad you encouraged her to talk with a therapist. It's likely you'll need to do so together if that's ever possible.

 

we do have to sit down with a Therapist.

I need to ask her if we could talk with one together if possible.

She told me She was so worried about me since it happened. cried every day and wondered how I was.

of course my Family was shocked after it happened, they don't want me talking with her, but I have to talk with her.

 

Your family is going to have to accept the fact that you have emotional and psychological issues that need to be resolved in order for you to heal, and that Lisa's involvement in that process is important. It's completely understandable that your family would like you to keep your distance from her - and they're not entirely wrong about that - but sometimes how we want things to be and how things need to be don't coincide.

However, it's paramount that you keep things in perspective Inuk. Don't backslide into denial about how profound an experience it was for the both of you. Don't gloss over the reality of what happened by letting your feelings for Lisa get the better of you.

I'm sorry to sound like a heartless bastard.... My advice...is to stop it now!!!!! In my opinion you are going back down a very dark and dangerous path... It's good that you two discussed things. Leave it at that and accept what happened... Move on my friend!!!

But I have to side with your family (whom is almost always right in these matters)

I have let my feelings get the better of me in two past relationships that we tried to make things "work out" after tough times...... Both times it ended in terrible heartaches for both parties...
